Caring and sharing at Harvest time at St Peter's Droitwich CofE Academy
As part of St Peter’s Droitwich C of E Academy’s Harvest celebrations, the children and families supported Droitwich Food Bank and Maggs Homeless Centre by donating a variety of goods. These include packaged food, tinned goods as well as toiletries and hand sanitisers.
The Deputy Headteacher, Mrs Lucy Mills said “This year’s celebrations have been very different to previous years, however, the generosity of our children and families has continued to be vast. We were not able to visit St Peter’s Church for our service as we usually do, but instead there was a Harvest Collective Worship held in school for each year group.”
“Part of the school’s motto is “we care, we share” and Harvest time is a great opportunity for us to bring our motto to life and to live what we are learning.”
Photographed here next to the Harvest display are Molly Brown and Amelie Odell who are both members of the school’s Jesus and Me (JAM) group.
