Great recruitment prospects

The Rivers Teaching Alliance hub-based programme is popular with trainee teachers who are hoping to gain a position in their placement school following their training. We offer trainee teachers a ‘Teacher Recruitment Day’ which is a unique opportunity for trainees to experience what is involved in teacher recruitment, with the added prospect of a job offer at the end of the process.

Over the past two years, 100% of the trainees who completed the course have been offered a job.

Support

The hub-based PGCE is a smaller cohort than university-led, therefore we can offer our trainees greater support during their course, including preparing for interviews and career support. 

Placement location close to home

We consider the placement location of each of our trainees individually to ensure we place you close to home. This reduces the time and expense of travelling out of the county to placements and if you don’t drive, then the course is still accessible to you.

Placement transition

Trainees can easily transition between their 3 placements within our 16 schools, as the curriculum, vision and values are the same across the trust.
