Susanna Taylor
Profile
Susanna leads finance and HR in a primary specialist multi-academy trust having started work in schools 13 years ago. She has experienced first-hand academisation, the growth of MATs, including transferring in another MAT, applying for and supporting delivery of a primary free school. She is a WASBM committee member, a CFO mentor and an SRMA so can support schools and trusts with Integrated Curriculum Financial Planning. Susanna can advise and support academy leaders with understanding the complex regulatory framework that schools operate in. She believes that succession planning should be a priority for the education sector so is a big advocate for introducing apprenticeships to a develop talent in a variety of school roles, including office, site as well as in the classroom.
Sue Bladen

Sue’s school business management experience covers all aspects of primary education from small rural schools to large community school settings. As a committee member of the Worcestershire Association of School Business Managers (WASBM), she works with colleagues from across Worcestershire to ensure that staff in all school phases have fair access to knowledge, training and networking opportunities. Sue’s wealth of experience includes working with colleagues and senior leaders to implement change management, auditing procedures and developing leaders’ strategic skills in ICT infrastructure, premises management and budget control.
Daniel Sparkes

Daniel has over nine years’ experience as a school business manager and has worked in a variety of educational settings including a large primary school in Worcester and an all-through Special School in Worcestershire. He is currently working with two schools in a cluster business manager role. In his role as SLE, Daniel’s extensive experience enables him to support colleagues in other schools in all areas of school business management including finance, HR, premises management, health and safety, examinations, transport and governance.
