Contributing to whole school development with an NPQLL
Name: Victoria Wittin
Role: Class teacher (EYFS), and PSHE and diversity lead.
What motivated you to do the NPQLL?
I chose to undertake this NPQLL because I have an interest in literacy, especially reading. I love teaching phonics and feel that this is a strength of mine. I want to broaden my skills and expand my repertoire outside of class teaching. I would love to be able to spend more time across other year groups, contributing to whole school development.
I am hopeful that undertaking the NPQLL will equip me with skills to lead literacy in school. I really hope this course aids the progression of my career in education.
Future aspirations: I love teaching and want to keep that at the centre of my job role, but feel keen and ready to have more responsibility within the school by leading a core subject.
Name: Danielle Botfield
Role: Year 4 class teacher and co-lead Science and DT
What motivated you to do the NPQLL?
I decided to apply for the NPQLL as I've always enjoyed planning and teaching English, and want to support my school in co-leading English too.
I believe the NPQLL will allow me to access the most relevant and up-to-date research on delivering English lessons effectively in school.
Future aspirations: Having extra qualifications and experiences will hopefully open up new opportunities for me in the future.
