Our Trust
We are a multi-academy school trust that specialises in primary education.
Established in 2014, our trust has grown from three schools to a community of Church of England and community schools.
Along with our primary and first schools, the trust includes eleven pre-schools, one alternative provision and a thriving teaching alliance.
With over 5,500 pupils and over 850 staff, we are one of the largest primary multi-academy trusts in the West Midlands. Our geographical reach now includes Sandwell and Dudley, in addition to Worcestershire.
Our ambition for each school remains a priority, with 100% of our schools rated ‘Good’ or ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted, several of which have improved from weaker predecessor judgements. With a strong track record of improving schools, our focus is on providing an extraordinary education for every pupil.
The Rivers C.of.E Academy Trust is a connected learning community, we share a culture of collaboration. Our team of extraordinary people have high expectations and works passionately to provide an extraordinary education for every pupil.
Education provision across our family of schools is closely matched to the specific needs of our learners, particularly the most vulnerable and their families. Children are at the heart of everything we do. We have high hopes for our children, no matter their background, need or prior attainment.
Rather than just looking at pupil outcomes and results whilst at school, we envision the future lives of our children as engineers, designers, artists and teachers. Through our meaningful curriculum and extraordinary experience offer, children acquire the knowledge, skills and positive attitudes to become the very best version of themselves, academically and personally, enabling their extraordinary futures.
Our journey
Over the past decade, we have achieved numerous milestones, such as opening two free schools and receiving prestigious awards like Large MAT of the Year and MAT Leadership of the Year at the 2023 National MAT Awards, as well as STEM Project of the Year at the 2024 Worcestershire Education Awards. Additionally, we have successfully implemented our innovative governance structure. In 2023, the trust was approved as a founding associate college for the National Institute of Teaching and our thriving teaching alliance now works with over forty schools across the region. We are proud of all we have achieved at school and at trust level, and we plan to build on our success.
