Summerhill’s Little Treasures Nursery is rated Outstanding
Summerhill’s Little Treasures Nursery in Tipton has received ‘Outstanding’ in all areas following their Ofsted visit in February 2023.
The report praised staff for tailoring learning around children’s individual needs, preparing them for starting school and being independent.
“Children thrive in this nursery. They flourish from the very strong attachments to staff, who are extremely attentive to children's needs”.
The Ofsted inspector witnessed how enthusiastic and excited children felt when in the nursery and how their curiosity was sparked through a broad range of activities and experiences.
Children demonstrated an eagerness to share their knowledge, which highlights their love of learning.
“Children make exceptional progress” due to “highly trained, outstanding leaders and staff” who have embedded a “stimulating and engaging” curriculum, which is tailored around children's individual needs.
Summerhill’s Little Treasures is thrilled to be acknowledged as ‘Outstanding’ and is committed to providing quality childcare and a vast range of learning experiences for children. Ofsted commented that “Staff provide a safe and secure environment for children to play and learn in.”
Danielle Ellson, Deputy Nursery Manager at Summerhill’s Little Treasures commented “We are all extremely proud of the result of the inspection. It’s amazing to know Ofsted recognise the hard work and commitment the whole team has, to ensure children receive the best possible care and education when they attend Summerhill’s Little Treasures.”
Head of School, Mrs Hayley Lloyd-Davies reiterated Danielle’s comments, saying “We are ecstatic with the result of the inspection, particularly as all staff are fully committed to the continuous care and development of our children. I am extremely proud of the staff and we make a fantastic team.”
Summerhill’s Little Treasures is a purpose-built nursery on the site of Summerhill Primary Academy in Tipton. The 92-place nursery offers childcare for children aged from 6 weeks old to 4 years old.
The outstanding nursery is open Monday to Friday for 50 weeks of the year. Sessions are from 7.30am until 6pm. The nursery provides funded early education for two, three and four-year-old children.
