Harvest Celebrations at Northwick Manor Primary School
Northwick Manor Primary School held a fantastic inclusive virtual Harvest Service on 23rd October.
Everyone in school watched the service from their classrooms and pupils, parents and carers who were self-isolating at home were invited to make sure that the whole community could join in and be included in the festivities.
Head teacher, Miss Williams, linked all the children’s presentations together and pupils from each year group shared wonderful poems, art work and facts about harvest. The Reverend Todd even joined the celebrations and gave a special address and prayers.
We would like to thank parents and carers who were really supportive of the event and donated an abundance of food for the local food bank, which is run by the Trussell trust. A special mention also goes to George H, who designed and wrote his own leaflet after being inspired by his idol Marcus Rashford. After sharing his leaflet in his local neighbourhood, George gathered nine bags of food and toiletries which were donated to this worthwhile cause - well done George!
We are so proud and thankful to be part of such a wonderful community.
