Our physical education (PE) curriculum is designed to develop pupils’ competence across a wide range of physical activities while equipping them with the knowledge, skills and motivation to lead healthy, active lives.
From early years, children build fundamental movement skills such as balance, coordination and agility, which are then progressively developed through Key Stages 1 and 2 into more complex skills, teamwork and performance across sports, dance and outdoor activities.
We place a strong emphasis on participation, enjoyment and personal development, ensuring that pupils learn to collaborate, compete fairly and reflect on their own progress to achieve their personal best.
Through a broad and carefully sequenced curriculum which includes games, gymnastics, athletics, swimming and outdoor challenges, pupils also develop resilience, leadership and an understanding of how physical activity supports both physical and mental wellbeing.
By the time they leave us, children are confident, physically literate learners who value active lifestyles and understand how to stay healthy.
