  • Teaching and Learning

We believe that every child deserves an education that meets their unique needs and supports them to reach their full potential. Our mission, outlined in the 'Rivers’ 2030 Strategy', is to provide an extraordinary education for every pupil, with excellent teaching at its core.

We focus on training our teachers to have high expectations and to tailor their approach to support all pupils, ensuring everyone can fully engage in their learning.

Our inclusive ethos is built on equal opportunities. The "universal offer" means that every pupil receives comprehensive support to aid their learning and overall development. This approach empowers all pupils to progress through the school curriculum, including the National Curriculum. Tailoring our teaching methods and curriculum to meet the needs of all pupils is central to our work across the trust.

    Teaching and Learning Principles

We follow teaching and learning principles based on research and evidence about the best teaching practices. We believe that by making learning easier to understand, we help pupils become motivated and aim high. As a trust, we promise to stay informed through research and current ideas, while always reflecting critically on our choices and their impact on our pupils' education.
