Volunteering as an advocate is a rewarding opportunity to support school governance and enhance the educational experience for our pupils. By joining us, you become part of a dedicated community committed to providing an extraordinary education.
As an advocate, your role in school governance is crucial. You will help drive school improvement and ensure our pupils receive the highest quality education. This volunteer opportunity allows you to impact the lives of pupils and the broader community significantly.
If you are 18 or older and not a current employee, you can become an advocate. We welcome individuals from all backgrounds to reflect the diversity and richness of our schools. No prior experience or formal training is required - just a passion for making a difference. We provide induction and safeguarding training, and an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
This short film offers insights into the rewarding roles involved in school governance.
You will visit the school, meet with the community, and discuss your findings with school leaders. The commitment includes three school visits per year, one or two follow-up meetings each term, and an annual governance day.
If you are ready to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and your community, we would love to hear from you. Please contact your child’s school if you would like to obtain an advocate application form.
