The Rivers Teaching Alliance offers a one-year Post Graduate Certificate of Education (PGCE) with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), in partnership with the University of Worcester. 

Our hub-based initial teacher training programmes are designed to equip aspiring teachers with the skills, knowledge, and confidence needed to excel in the classroom. We provide hands-on experience, expert mentorship, and a robust curriculum that covers all aspects of teaching. Led by outstanding education professionals, it immerses you in a placement school from day one, allowing you to become a trainee teacher and member of staff immediately.

We offer four PGCE courses: 

• Primary (ages 3 -7)
• Primary (ages 5 -11)
• Primary with PE (ages 5 -11)
• Primary SEND Specialism (ages 5 -11)
