The Rivers CofE Academy Trust is delighted to announce that North Worcester Primary Academy has been approved to open in Worcester.
The trust's application for an all-through primary school for children was submitted in September 2016, with a vision of opening a community school in the North Worcester area by September 2018, dependent on securing an appropriate site.
As a Church of England Multi Academy Trust, the trust has recommended that North Worcester Primary Academy is to be a 'Faith Ethos' community school, welcoming applications from all faiths and no faiths, drawing from the distinct values and vision of the Rivers Trust, being 'love, live and learn'.
Kate Brunt, CEO for Rivers MAT stated “We are delighted to have been successful in securing this essential provision for North Worcester. We have been working extremely closely with the Local Authority of the past few years to look at strategic planning solutions for the expanding number of families in the North Worcester area. We feel that a new school meets the needs of the city in a sustainable way in the years ahead.”
The Rivers CofE Academy Trust was formed in October 2014 and is a group of seven 'Good' and 'Outstanding' schools spread across Worcestershire; all varying in size, economic, social backgrounds and religion (Northwick Manor Primary, St Clement's CofE Primary, St Peter's Droitwich CofE First, Cranham Primary, Cutnall Green CofE First, Great Witley CE Primary and Heronswood Primary).
